Pam's Monthly Insights
January 2006
Hello friends,
Welcome to 2006!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate). After a rather strenuous 2005, I spent time in Arizona with my family and got some much needed rest and relaxation. I visited one of my favorite healing and rejuvenating places, Sedona, which I will talk more about later. As I've been told, 2005 was a challenging year for many of you and I expect 2006 to be easier for just about everyone. For all of those I have read for, I saw 2006 as a relief after the challenges of 2005. I see this as a general trend, thankfully!! My wish is that you will take something away from my newsletters to improve and empower your life during the coming year.
I love fresh starts and always enjoy January as a time of setting goals and intentions and looking forward to whatever delightful surprises may be in store this coming year. This is quite different than making resolutions, so I've written an article about manifesting wonderful surprises, making positive changes and creating a more relaxed and fulfilling year than the one before. So here's to a great new year and thanks for joining me in this journey.
I wish you a year of little things to continually rejoice in...
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't have to make yourself
An unexpected phone call from an old friend
Green stoplights on your way to work or to pick up kids
The fastest line at the grocery store
A good sing along song on the radio
Your keys right where you look
I wish you countless little miracles that give you the funny feeling that someone above is smiling on you...
A forgotten $20 bill in your pocket
A sunset on your way home
An unexpected hug
The perfect parking spot just when you need it
A table with a view
A new friend
A wish come true
And someone to warm your heart
May each succeeding year be even better than those before.
May your year be filled with wonder, comfort, satisfaction, and
ever-greater happiness.
May you gain power from your mistakes and pain.
May divine discontent prompt you to create an even better life, beginning from within.
May you know the gift of gratitude.
May you come to know all forms of love with an even greater depth.
May you be constantly acknowledged for all your goodness
and then acknowledge others for the same.

Intuition as your GPS
For Christmas I received an amazing new device for my car. A GPS called TomTom. This thing is sure to change my life... as I am, uh... er....directionally challenged. I get lost pretty much every day. I used it to navigate the kids and I safely to my sister's house in Arizona (a 500 mile road trip) over the holidays and back again. It was amazing. There are different voices you can choose to tell you where to turn and what to do if say you get on the wrong freeway J. I decided on Ken, a hottie from Australia. I'm just assuming he's hot of course, I can't actually see him. I do find his accent charming and don't mind turning left when he tells me to turn left. Not so many men get to tell me what to do...LOL A few times I got to hear him say "make a u-turn as soon as possible". Thanks Ken.
It occurred to me that it would be very cool to have such a device when approaching any fork in the road in our lives or simply when moving through our day. I found it strangely comforting to know Ken was there for me and I wasn't alone to get lost and die in the desert J. Of course, we do have that ever present guidance system, the trick is hearing it. When I came to a tricky spot where I wasn't sure which way to go, I had to slow down, turn the music down, turn the kids down and listen carefully for Ken's instructions. Not much different than what we need to do in our lives when we start to get confused. Slow down, turn the noise down and listen. Still not sure? What do you most deeply desire? That's always your best hint.

Resolutions versus Intentions
New Year's resolutions. We've all made them and all broken them. Our intentions are good but somehow we just don't stick with our ambitious plans. Sometimes we are persistent enough to make a real and lasting change but this seems to be rare. So let's turn those resolutions into affirmations that do help create real, lasting change.
In case you don't know, affirmations are positive statements you repeat to yourself, impressing them upon your subconscious. Once your subconscious knows and understands your intention it will help you make better choices. When you start to make a choice that goes against your intention of eating better, you will get an uncomfortable nagging feeling in your gut reminding you that this isn't really what you want to do, encouraging you to make the right choice. Other affirmations convince your subconscious to help you obtain your desires by focusing its powerful attracting abilities.
Let's take a classic resolution "I am going to start a new diet"
Affirmation "I am now losing weight and eating food that's good for me."
Here is my very favorite affirmation. "Every day in every way I am getting better and better and better"
For prosperity "I am now earning as much as I desire and require."
So turn your resolutions into affirmations and start making real change in 2006.

The Healing Power of Nature
As I mentioned above, I once again had the pleasure of visiting Sedona. I am inexplicably drawn to the place. Not a desert type person, I find the little city nestled into the red rocks simply fascinating and the views breathtaking. As written by Sedona Astrologer, Haizen Paige for The Cosmic Palette.
"My personal feeling is that the entire city of Sedona is one big huge vortex of intensified, accelerated energy, and this may explain why people seem to either love it here, or can't stand the city at all and leave suddenly in the middle in the night for more familiar territory.
People touched by genuine Vortex Power tend to experience a sense of inward stillness or silence. I think it would be fair to say that the Vortex People are interested in these invisible energies and the silence as much as they are in Sedona's actual physical beauty, so you will see a lot of young people with backpacks heading for these areas. People camping out in the forest waiting for their spiritual revelation. People seeking a "healing" of some kind. People tired of the rat race and looking for some relief. People exhausted by the insensitivity of city life and looking for sanctuary for a day, a week, a year -- for a lifetime. Some are searching for the sacred and for a connection with ancient Indian cultures in order to understand or help preserve them."
I say Haizen hit it right, for me anyway. I personally made the trek exhausted from busy city life and looking for some silence and relief. I am never disappointed when climbing to the top of a red rock or vortex where the view is so stunning I suddenly feel very small. We need to feel small and awestruck every so often in order to keep our perspective. I hope that if you do one thing for yourself in 2006, you visit a place that makes you feel small and rejuvinates your soul. Getting in touch with nature will help you get in touch with yourself.

In My Corner
I want to use this column to introduce you to the special people who help me behind the scenes. This month I want to thank Noreen Renier. Noreen, of Court TV's Psychic Detectives fame, continues to pass clients over to me when she is too busy to read for them herself. I greatly admire her work and I am honored that she has such faith in me. So thank you Noreen and may you continue to shine!

What does 2006 hold for you? Book your reading to get a great start on the New Year! http://www.pamcoronado.com/intuitiveServices.htm For those who have been asking, I will continue to do private consultations through March. Starting in April (possibly sooner) I will have a very heavy filming schedule through Fall with 12 episodes to film, each in a different state!

Media
As you already know, I've been working on a new series for Discovery Channel. The show is called "Sensing Murder" and is being produced in seven countries. It was a huge hit in Australia until they ran out of cases, can you imagine?? I have already filmed most of the pilot but need to return to Colorado in the next week or so to follow up with the detectives. The show will begin to air weekly in September 2006 with the new Fall lineup. Medium, Laurie Campbell and I will work the cases from start to finish on camera so you can experience our process right along with us. Hopefully you will learn more about how psychic detectives really work (what we see and can't see, etc) and we will bring healing to some families that desperately need it. I am very pleased to be a part of this project.

Pam's Book Review
My best friend gave me this book some time ago and I love it's timeless wisdom. The series of books included in this book were first written in the 40's. The book uses a great deal of religious language but the principles are brilliant and timely The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn includes four books; The Game of Life, The Power of the Spoken Word, Your Word Is Your Wand and The Secret of Success. If you find this little gem, I'm sure you will turn to it again and again for inspiration.
